This motion design video tells the story of the Xiao family during a trip to Paris, using a light and relatable narrative to showcase how WeChat Pay and Alipay enable seamless payments for Chinese consumers abroad.

Through everyday shopping situations — buying an ice cream or a gift — the animation demonstrates how both payment solutions allow users to pay easily via mobile apps, with real-time currency conversion, multiple authentication options, and fast, secure transactions. For merchants, the video highlights the benefits of accepting QR-based payments without additional infrastructure, while expanding their reach to a large international customer base.

By combining storytelling, character-driven animation and clear product messaging, the video illustrates how WeChat Pay and Alipay support cross-border commerce, enhance the customer experience, and unlock new opportunities for merchants welcoming Chinese travelers.
