How Is Electricity Transported? — RTE

This educational motion design video was created for RTE, the French electricity transmission system operator, to explain how electricity is produced, transported, and delivered to consumers across France.

Through clear storytelling and explanatory animations, the video follows the journey of electricity from production sites to consumption areas. It highlights RTE’s key role in managing the high and very high voltage transmission network, maintaining critical infrastructures, balancing electricity flows in real time, and connecting France to neighboring European countries.

Designed as an accessible educational piece, the animation also addresses the challenges of the energy transition, emphasizing the importance of electricity in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and RTE’s role in integrating low-carbon energy sources into the national grid.
